overview
what pitch is and how it works
pitch is a performance error detector for music. You upload a recording of a performance and a recording of the reference score, and pitch compares the two. The result is a MIDI file in which every note is classified as extra (played but not in the score), missing (in the score but not played), or correct (matched).
Detection runs through one of two research models, Polytune or LadderSYM, selectable from the model picker. Results appear as an interactive piano roll with audio playback, and the output MIDI can be downloaded.
pitch is a research preview and is free to use. You can run detections without an account; signing in with Google saves your runs to a personal library.
